{"id":93,"date":"2014-01-23T11:33:07","date_gmt":"2014-01-23T17:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/?p=93"},"modified":"2019-05-17T13:53:50","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T18:53:50","slug":"joy-love-laughter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/2014\/01\/23\/joy-love-laughter\/","title":{"rendered":"Joy = Love + Laughter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Everyone loves to laugh.<\/b>\u00a0 Why is that?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter is infectious<\/b>.\u00a0 If you are around someone who is bent over laughing\u00a0 (and also maybe about to pee their pants if they are a certain age), you immediately smile.\u00a0 And if they keep on laughing, even if they don\u2019t say a word, you start to laugh with them, and try to get their attention to find out what is so funny, so you can share the joke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter, like a good cry, is soul cleansing &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0but unlike tears, laughter doesn\u2019t usually leave you exhausted or melancholy.\u00a0 On the contrary, it is invigorating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter is bright<\/b>. Not in an <i>ethereal-lumninous-<\/i>sort of way, but in a <i>blinding-flash-of-light <\/i>kind of way.\u00a0 In fact, you could say<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><b><i>Laughter is audible sunshine.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter is refreshing<\/b>, especially when someone is laughing at themselves.\u00a0 It reminds you not to take yourself too seriously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter is a game changer.<\/b> When your sense of humor is tickled, and you start to laugh,\u00a0 whatever foul mood, or pity party, you might be experiencing tends to evaporate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Laughter is a gift from God<\/b>.\u00a0 Think about it: God invented laughter, just as He did everything else we know and experience.\u00a0 He programmed us each with our funny-o-meter. In fact, I bet He laughs a lot.\u00a0 No one could create some of the amazing quirky creatures in our world without a lively sense of humor.\u00a0\u00a0 He surely chuckles, as any loving parent would, at the many funny things we say and do.\u00a0 And He must certainly laugh &#8211; in that deep satisfied way &#8211; when his children step into joy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>You will make known to me the path of life;<\/i><br \/>\n<i> <b>In Your presence is fullness of joy;<br \/>\n<\/b>In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.<\/i><br \/>\n<i>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Psalm 16:11\u00a0 NASB<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Joy is the hallmark of a person who lives in God\u2019s presence.\u00a0 Such a person loves. And smiles.
