When Michael was first born we were going to a lot of weddings, and so Michael attended his first nuptials when he was just 2 months old.\u00a0 Afterwards at the reception we stuck him in his carrier and put him up on a table next to the dance floor so we could keep a close eye on him.\u00a0 Michael sucked on his pacy and slept while we twisted\u00a0 to \u201cPink Cadillac,\u201d\u00a0 shagged to \u201cSweet Home Alabama\u201d and slow danced to \u201cEndless Love. \u201d He was conked out for hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image-12-e1397760186957.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-216 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image-12-e1397760186957-676x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"peace from knowing God\" width=\"217\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image-12-e1397760186957-676x1024.jpeg 676w, https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image-12-e1397760186957-198x300.jpeg 198w, https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image-12-e1397760186957.jpeg 906w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Noise is Just Noise<\/b><\/p>\n<p>How did he do that?\u00a0 Why didn\u2019t all that noise wake him up?\u00a0 Why wasn\u2019t he afraid?<\/p>\n<p>He was fed. Warm. Safe. He already knew from past experience that if he cried&#8211;or even so much as stirred&#8211;there would be many hands to soothe and care for him.<\/p>\n<p>The noise was just noise.\u00a0 He tuned it out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God&#8217;s Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>God gives us that kind of peace, a peace that comes from knowing that he is right there, protecting us and taking care of us.\u00a0 It is a peace that has nothing to do with the noise of life. It is an inner calm, a knowing, that He is with us\u2014within us\u2014and He loves us.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/perfect-peace.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-218 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/perfect-peace.jpg\" alt=\"Isaiah 26:3 perfect peace\" width=\"619\" height=\"624\" srcset=\"https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/perfect-peace.jpg 619w, https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/perfect-peace-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/belovedlove.org\/reflections\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/perfect-peace-297x300.jpg 297w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t understand this. We can\u2019t. We must just accept it.
