Be still and know that I am God. \u00a0Psalm 46:10<\/em><\/h2>\n

In the swirl and stress of daily living, God often uses these 8 words to restore my soul.<\/p>\n

“Be still and know that I am God.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The simple acts of being<\/strong> and knowing,<\/strong> free us from the Twilight Zone of Anxiety,<\/a> the Abyss of Never Enough<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Be still and know that I am God.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be.<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Just be.<\/li>\n
  • Be aware of being alive. Appreciate that you have a beating heart, and air to breathe.<\/li>\n
  • Settle into the truth that\n
      \n
    • You are fearfully and wonderfully made.<\/li>\n
    • You are wanted. Treasured. Valued. Loved.<\/li>\n
    • You are known and you are loved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Be still.<\/strong><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Just stop. Rest. Take a breath. Or two. Be still.<\/li>\n
      • Be still on the inside, as well as the outside.<\/li>\n
      • Release all those thoughts swirling around in your head.<\/li>\n
      • Take your mind off your responsibilities, your concerns, those things in your head that are nagging you.<\/li>\n
      • Let go right now, and just be still.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        And know.<\/strong><\/h2>\n
          \n
        • Let truth sink in.<\/li>\n
        • Be aware of what is real, and what is not.<\/li>\n
        • What is beyond seeing and understanding\u2014and is in the realm of just knowing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Know that I<\/strong><\/h2>\n
            \n
          • Know the Person who made you,<\/li>\n
          • Who knows you better than you know yourself.<\/li>\n
          • Who loves you with an everlasting love, which is in no way dependent on what you do or don\u2019t do.<\/li>\n
          • Who lives within you.<\/li>\n
          • Who has your back.<\/li>\n
          • Who has shown, and will show you how to live.<\/li>\n
          • Who will never steer you wrong.<\/li>\n
          • Who goes after you when you stray\u2014deliberately or unintentionally–and brings you back to the path of life and joy.<\/li>\n
          • Who restores your soul, leads you into the light and away from the darkness.<\/li>\n
          • Who will never leave you or reject you.<\/li>\n
          • Who keeps you safe\u2014protects your identity, value, belonging and calling\u2014for all eternity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Know that I am God.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

            Know that this person–your heavenly father, your friend, your one and only guide in life,\u00a0your creator\u2014is God.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            He is God.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

            He is<\/p>\n

              \n
            • 100% good.<\/li>\n
            • The most powerful being in the universe.<\/li>\n
            • Wise<\/li>\n
            • Trustworthy<\/li>\n
            • Present<\/li>\n
            • Compassionate<\/li>\n
            • Understanding<\/li>\n
            • Forgiving<\/li>\n
            • Non condemning<\/li>\n
            • Full of life and joy<\/li>\n
            • Available<\/li>\n
            • Ready to show you a better way to live<\/li>\n
            • Committed to walking with you on that way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
