On my recent trip to India, one of the leaders of IBL had these three words at the top of his whiteboard: \u00a0\u201cPray Plan Pray.\u201d<\/p>\n

I love this! \u00a0Pray first, then plan, and then pray through your plans.<\/p>\n

You know, the New Year is just getting underway. This is an excellent time to look back and forward, and \u201cpray plan pray.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here is one way you can do this:<\/p>\n

Praying GRACE<\/span> for the New Year<\/strong><\/h2>\n

G<\/span>ive thanks<\/strong> for…<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Right now.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Your life<\/strong>: \u00a0The past year. \u00a0The coming one.<\/li>\n
  • God’s presence and His goodness.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • All God has been doing<\/strong>, and all He continues to do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    R<\/span>elease…<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • The past<\/strong>. \u00a0Disappointments. \u00a0Pain. \u00a0Resentment. \u00a0Regret. \u00a0Sin. \u00a0Shame. \u00a0Guilt.<\/li>\n
    • Expectations<\/strong> you have of others. \u00a0And that others might have of you.<\/li>\n
    • The future<\/strong>. \u00a0Fear. \u00a0Worry. \u00a0Uncertainty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A<\/span>ccept…<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Where you are right now.<\/li>\n
      • Yourself as you are: \u00a0imperfect and in process.<\/li>\n
      • God’s love and forgiveness.<\/li>\n
      • God’s wisdom\/direction for the coming year.<\/li>\n
      • Responsibilities God has already given you.<\/li>\n
      • Ownership of your life and your decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        C<\/strong><\/span>ontinue…<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Praying<\/strong> about your priorities and goals.<\/li>\n
        • Listening<\/strong> for God’s direction.<\/li>\n
        • Outlining plans<\/strong> for the year.<\/li>\n
        • Deciding<\/strong> which one or two habits to cultivate in the coming year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          E<\/span>njoy…<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Each day<\/strong>, recognizing it for the gift that it is.<\/li>\n
          • The process<\/strong> of prayerful planning.<\/li>\n
          • God’s constant presence<\/strong> with you, within you – loving you, leading you, touching others through you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Praying GRACE<\/span><\/strong> is a wonderful way to start the year. But however you choose to dive in to 2016, don\u2019t forget to Pray Plan Pray.<\/p>\n
