\"Morning<\/a><\/p>\n

God gave me a beautiful gift this morning, as I was driving down the interstate.<\/p>\n

It was 6:30 a.m., and I was in a hurry – it was going to be a long day. \u00a0As I rounded the final bend before my exit, a spectacular vista met my eyes: \u00a0a pink\/purple dawn spread out over a distant blue ridge, which was draped in wispy clouds. \u00a0It reminded me of the Smoky Mountains – of home.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuick, get out the camera and snap a picture!\u201d, I told myself. \u00a0No. \u00a0Not a good idea at 70 mph. \u00a0Just enjoy. \u00a0Soak in the beauty of the moment (and try to keep an eye on the road)!<\/em><\/p>\n

That sunrise was a gift at the beginning of a difficult day. \u00a0It was as if God was saying,<\/p>\n

“I am here. \u00a0All is well. \u00a0Enjoy.”<\/em><\/h3>\n

He says that to me a lot, actually. \u00a0In all kinds of ways. \u00a0Too many times, I don’t see. \u00a0Or I see, but I don’t stop to give thanks. \u00a0(I’m a slow learner.)<\/p>\n

You know, on those days that I do<\/em> notice God\u2019s ever-abundant gifts, and choose to thank Him, something wonderful happens. \u00a0JOY settles over me like mist on a mountain.<\/p>\n
