Be loved
We love, because He first loved us.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for Him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, for the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord's people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
